The Master’s programme in Management, Organization Studies and Cultural Theory (MOK) will enable you to become an executive who wants to do and implement things: people who realise innovation, orchestrate change and are in a position to provide new ideas with effective roots – in line with the best of HSG‘s traditions. Such achievements are only possible through a sound overview, which you will acquire in the interaction between economic, social and cultural sciences. As MOK graduates, you will be working as entrepreneurs, executives, consultants, and as innovation, change and project managers. You will be involved in all social contexts and organization types, in corporations and public organizations, in consultancy and in NGOs, NPOs or cultural ventures.

The programme is taught in German.

Candidate profile:
The MOK programme is targeting Bachelor graduates who typically possess a solid education either in management and organisation studies or in the social and cultural sciences. MOK students are characterised by their interest in dealing with organisational and social topics in an interdisciplinary and integrative way.

Curriculum:
The curriculum contains (1) three compulsory courses in management theory, social theory and cultural theory; (2) six courses from the fields of entrepreneurship & creativity, strategy & innovation, financial controlling & performance, communication & media, interculturality, and ethics (three of these six courses have to be chosen); (3) six so-called ateliers which will reinforce students' knowledge in practical contexts (three out of six have to be chosen).

Accreditation

The HSG has earned the EQUIS (2001) and AACSB (2003) accreditations and consequently has obtained the two most demanding international seals of approval for business schools.

In the 2013 Financial Times Global Masters in Management Ranking we are in 1st place with the Master in Strategy and International Management and in 7th place with the CEMS Master in International Management.
