The Master in Marketing at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) is a one year full time program offered in Madrid. The program is designed to provide a high quality specialization in the marketing discipline, nurturing technical and attitudinal skills to develop a rewarding marketing career in the global business environment. We prepare recent graduates and young professionals with limited work experience from around the world for leading marketing positions. Programme Objectives

The Msc in Marketing is intended to prepare students for professional practice. The program equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to reach top marketing positions. Specifically the objective of the masters is to develop 3 different areas of competence:

  • skills in Marketing Management (including strategic marketing and marketing mix tactics).
  • expertise in Market Research (including qualitative and quantitative market research, experiments,).

The program is specifically designed for graduate students who are interested in a specific and extensive training in marketing. The program is designed to serve students who choose to specialize in marketing immediately after completing their undergraduate degree (although some students have a year or two of post-undergraduate work experience).

Most preferred undergraduate degrees are Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, and Mathematics.

The program consists of two tracks: Marketing Management and Marketing Research and Modeling.

  • Marketing Management track will train you on various marketing managerial domains, such as Product/Brand Management, Communication Management, CRM, or Key Account Management. You will study issues like how to create brands, how to develop and test advertisements, how to set up new distribution channels, and key customers, and to carry out marketing research projects. In addition, you will learn how to apply these insights to real-life marketing problems.
  • Marketing Research and Modeling track gives you in-depth knowledge in core analytic tools for optimal marketing decision making in risky environments. More and more, marketing research takes a prominent place in many businesses. Can we launch a new product? Is there a market for it? Should we revise our prices or communication strategy to fend off our new competitor? These types of marketing decisions should be based on sound research.
  • This program is designed to give students an opportunity to combine new knowledge and practical experience through the integration of theory and practice.

    All applicants must have a Bachelors or equivalent degree (three or more years of university studies) from an official university. Students in the last year of their Bachelors studies may also apply for admission; their application will be considered upon confirmation that they have successfully completed their Bachelors program.The Master in Marketing is taught in English and full command of written and spoken English is required. You need to demonstrate proficiency in English by submitting the results of either a TOEFL score with a minimum of 575 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) or 90-91 (internet-based) ; or, Academic IELTS score with a minimum of 6.5 score overall and a minimum score of 6.0 on individual parts of the test; or Passed Cambridge Proficiency test. However, applicants with insufficient language skills but high academic potential may be admitted provisionally, conditional upon the successful completion of an intensive language course at the UC3M Language.Admission CriteriaThe application review committee will search for the best candidates for the program. This means successful applicants will have excellent bachelor degree results, sound analytic backgrounds, solid language skills, good references, and strong interpersonal skills.All applicants will receive news of their admission in 7 days after the deadline.International StudentsNon-EHEA foreign students who demonstrate an equivalent level of education that allows them to apply to a Master programme must present their degrees legalized through diplomatic channels, or, if applicable, through the process of unique legalization or Apostille of the Hague Accords.
