Science Education and Communication

The Science Education & Communication teacher training programme enables you to teach in all phases of secondary education.. As a teacher you will be a vital link between science, technology and society. Your academic background makes you uniquely able to challenge, inspire and enthuse your pupils, opening the doors to your subject and the world of scientific thinking. The teacher training programme will help you to discover how to make scientific and technical knowledge accessible. You will specialize in one of the following school subjects: Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and/or the combination of Research & Design and Nature, Life & Technology. This University of Twente programme is specifically tailored to your situation and requirements, based on your knowledge, skills and interests. You will also complete an internship at a school, where you put your new skills into practice. This Master’s degree qualifies you to teach in all phases of secondary education. You can also opt for a career outside the classroom, as a researcher, designer, or educational professional working in the public sector, business or industry.
