The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning is a hands-on option for Years 11 and 12 students. VCAL programs are planned to fulfill with the individual requirements of the students and comprise structured workplace instruction. On completion of VCAL students may proceed to work, further VET analysis, apprenticeship or traineeships. VCAL certifications are given by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. VCAL may be undertaken at a Foundation, Intermediate or Senior point.
