This dual degree equips graduates to be the founders of original content for the creative industries, or to employ their creative abilities to educational settings and also the teaching profession. The fine arts component includes studio and/or project-based clinic and goals to prepare graduates to produce, display, promote and distribute their own work through emerging and traditional channels. Students are also prepared to function as secondary school educators in two teaching areas, one being in fine arts and also one other English (not available with the Creative Writing major), geography, history, math. Students learn to inspire curiosity and innovation in the next generation. During a strong professional identity for a teacher, graduates often leads innovation and creativity from the education industry. Professional experience trainings provide the ability to get the job done in real educational settings, supervised by practising professional instructors.

This class meets professional instruction standards for the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership, and Queensland College of Teachers and pupils are eligible to apply for teacher registration. Graduates trying to find employment in different parts of Australia and over seas may have to meet more problems.
