In addition to completing the application for admission online and paying the $60 non-refundable application fee, applicants must provide: * Bachelor of Science degree (or its equivalent) in engineering or related scientific field from a regionally-accredited institution. * * 2.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. Students with a cumulative baccalaureate grade point average between 2.50 and 2.75 may be admitted conditionally upon petition review and approval, on a case-by-case basis. * Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work. All transcripts not in English must be certified as authentic and translated verbatim in English. * Two letters of recommendation. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6.5 TOEFL iBT® test: 80

The cornerstone of the financial aid process is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). File the FAFSA to determine your eligibility for need-based federal student aid.

Please note that international students are not eligible for federal financial aid, with some exceptions.

Accreditation

The University of Louisville is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the southern states. The SACS Principles of Accreditation apply to all programs of the institution, regardless of mode of delivery.

A requirement for continued accreditation by SACS is that institutions must ensure that their distance and correspondence education courses and programs comply with the Principles of Accreditation. This applies to all educational programs and services, wherever located or however delivered. The university received reaffirmation of accreditation in 2007. The next review will take place in 2017.
