Our MSc in International Management program provides you with the management and leadership skills you will need for your career in a multinational company. Our courses cover a broad range of topics in the key business administration fields and, additionally, focus on sustainability and digitalization. Thus, sharpen your entrepreneurial thinking (entrepreneurship) and sustainable actions in a global environment, and enhance your career prospects. At the same time, the program targets your personal development and focuses on developing your leadership abilities. The teaching method includes both case- and project-based learning, excursions, business simulations, integrated internships, and regular interaction with industry professionals. Practical relevance is the program’s core. 

After successfully graduating from KLU you are legally entitled to work in Germany. You will also be allowed to stay in Germany for up to 18 months after graduation to find the ideal job. In the long run you may even become a German citizen. In addition to the benefits of Germany, the cosmopolitan city of Hamburg has been frequently voted as one of the most livable cities in the world, and offers a great work life balance for its residents.

 

Educational organisation

Our Master in International Management program starts every September. We have adapted this program to all kinds of student profiles, and it is offered in three tracks: standard (4 semesters), fast (3 semesters) and part-time (5 semesters). Language requirements

Students must prove their proficiency in English:

  • English proficiency proven by TOEFL (577 paper-based/233 computer-based/90 internet-based), IELTS (band 6.5), or equivalent

Academic requirements

Candidates for the MSc programme in Management must comply with the following prerequisites:
 

  • a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business or economics
  • English proficiency proven by TOEFL (577/233/90), IELTS (band 6.5), or equivalent


Other fields such as industrial engineering, business informatics, and mathematics, for example, will be considered if your Bachelor's degree contains a sufficient number of courses (at least four) in the field of business administration or business economics.

Do you not yet have your Bachelor's certificate? Of course, you can apply to Kühne Logistics University. Just provide a transcript of records and you can hand in your Bachelor's certificate at a later stage.

Costs of living

Students should budget around 11,300 EUR for cost of living per year of study. An amount of at least 8,640 EUR per year has to be deposited or documented when applying to German embassies or consulates for a student visa.

Funding opportunities within the university

KLU offers a limited number of merit-based scholarhips. Stipends of gifted education instituions (Begabtenförderwerke) can apply for a full tuition fee waiver at KLU. We also offer an innovative tuition financing model. Students participating in this model do not or only partially pay tuition fees during their studies at KLU. However, they commit themselves to make income-dependent payments upon completion of their studies.

Accommodation

KLU does not have on-campus accommodation. Therefore, it is recommended that you start looking for accommodation as soon as possible. Our Student Services Office will be happy to assist you in finding suitable accommodation.
