The four-semester curriculum of the MSc degree programme in Management consists of a sequence of required courses and seminars, with three options of specialisation. This programme is especially formatted for mathematically- and analytically-oriented future managers.
Compulsory subjects: Business Statistics, Mathematics for Business, Business Decision Making, Microeconomic Analysis, International Corporate Strategy, Marketing Methods and Analysis, and Corporate Finance.
For the third semester, students may choose between the practically-orientated internship option, the international research-orientated study abroad option, or elective courses at the university.
A written Master's thesis with a research seminar rounds off the study programme. It can be written in cooperation with the internship company.

Educational organisation

Our campus provides an optimal learning environment characterised by small class sizes and close contact to faculty and staff. The language of instruction and examination is English. Students have to expect a weekly workload of 22 to 26 hours of classroom studies.

There are three different forms of instruction:
Lectures: held by a professor
Tutorials: practising, discussing the content of the lecture
Seminars: active participation by students, writing academic papers, project teamwork

A lecture/seminar/tutorial lasts 90 min.

Study abroad unit(s)

A study abroad semester is an integral component of the international research-oriented path during the third semester.

Internships

An internship is an integral component of the practically-oriented path during the third semester. The programme adviser and the University Career Service Centre can assist students in organising and finding appropriate internship options.

Forms of assessment

Written subject examinations, presentations, seminar papers, written Master's thesis with a presentation
