Mixing mechanical engineering and industrial structure, you will get creative and technical skills to participate at a pro degree with the development and design of advanced level products that are manufactured. As an RMIT mechanical technology and industrial design dual level student, you will learn a wide array of skills from the integration of the highly complementary disciplines. In the last year of your studies you'll undertake a big job that is either industry-based or simulates a commercial situation. You'll also complete engineering industry experience that lets you obtain firsthand experience in an engineering clinic atmosphere. Opportunities also exist for the international work placement. Graduates may work in mechanical and industrial design areas like biomedical, automotive and electro mechanical product design.

  • Current Year 12 prerequisite components 3 and 4 - a study score of 25 in one of Mathematical techniques (any) or Specialist Mathematics
  • Plus a study score of 25 in virtually any English (except EAL) or 30 in English (EAL).
