  • Specialisation in Biology Innovation
  • Specialisation in Chemical and Biomolecular Sciences Innovation
  • Specialisation in Earth and Planetary Sciences Innovation
  • Specialisation in Environmental Sciences Innovation
  • Specialisation in Information Technology Innovation
  • Specialisation in Statistics Innovation 

General requirements

  • Minimum number of credit points 64 ECTS
  • Minimum number of credit points at 600 level 16 ECTS
  • Minimum number of credit points at 800 level or above 48 ECTS

Minimum admission requirements  (i)

• Australian level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent 
• GPA of 4.5 (out of 7.0)


English language requirements

IELTS 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band, or equivalent

All applicants for undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies at Macquarie University are required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.

 

The university offers scholarships to students to address financial need or hardship, academic excellence, sporting achievement and in recognition of outstanding character. It can also provide financial assistance with loans and grants to students who have difficulty with basic living expenses and help with fees. Each year Macquarie University awards around $2.5 million in scholarships, most of which are given on the basis of financial need or other hardship.
