This two-year course provides students with knowledge and skills to enter a career as a teacher of students from Years 7 to 12. Students discover pedagogical problem-based learning methods inside school and classroom settings. The course includes 60 days of expert experience within Canberra region secondary schools. Students will: Master the skills necessary for lesson preparation and effective learning and teaching; Critically reflect on the ways in which educational theory and research informs teaching training; Create effective techniques to collaborate as a member of a team and interpret data and evidence; Empower pupils with strong discipline and pedagogical knowledge; Establish and maintain respectful and ethical relationships with students, colleagues and pupils; Encourage participation and addition and develop the strengths and demands of students from diverse cultural, linguistic, religious and socio-economic backgrounds; and Strengthen their professional leadership. This training course is really actually a Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) accredited education application.
Entrants to grad entrance programs have a discipline-specific mentor or equal qualification applicable to the Australian Curriculum or alternative recognised areas of instruction supply including at least a major study in 1 teaching area and, preferably, a second teaching area comprising at least a minor study.
