Sport Management is a branch of Sport Science knowledge. In general, it is divided into two main forms (Parks & Quarterman, 2000):
(i) The field of professional career where many job opportunities related to sports are available.
(ii) The field of academic study that specifically prepares intellectuals at universities and colleges.
This is a full-time study programme of 129 credit hours in which students must register and pass all courses with a minimum grade of C.
In addition, students are required to enroll and pass Elective Courses and External Faculty Elective Courses as determined by the University from time to time.
- Minimum period = 7 semesters
- Maximum period = 11 semesters.
Method of delivery is through a combination of teaching approaches such as: theory lecture sessions which are face to face (F2F); integrated learning (e.g. tutorial and group discussion), student-centred learning (e.g. field work, written assignments, presentation) and industrial training (practical).
