The satellite Campus El Gouna is a scientific field office of Technische Universitat Berlin in Egypt, in the heart of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. The exceptional location of TUB Campus El Gouna provides a state-of-the-art environment for studying and research, while serving as a bridge for scientific and intercultural exchange between Europe, the MENA region, and the world at large.The three two-year Master's programmes play a central role in the Campus profile. Teams of up to 90 students per year study under the supervision of and in cooperation with about 50 experts in the fields of Energy Engineering, Water Engineering and Urban Development, to create sustainable solutions for the challenges in the MENA region and worldwide. The Campus offers perfect conditions for students to learn, research, discuss and experiment.As a location for research and development, the Campus provides a state-of-the-art environment in which sustainable and applicable technologies can be developed to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. It brings together TU Berlin's experts as well as future professionals within the lab-like, emerging city of El Gouna.Joint activities with corporate partners, such as innovative forms of training and further education as well as research and development, also play an important role at Campus El Gouna. The Campus serves as an interdisciplinary incubator for new approaches to technology and knowledge transfer in order to strengthen societal awareness and entrepreneurial initiatives.Centrally located in the MENA region at the Red Sea, TU Berlin Campus El Gouna - together with the town of El Gouna - is a perfect place for scientific events such as workshops, conventions and conferences on emerging topics.

About the City: El Gouna is a private self-sufficient town built on 10 km of the Red Sea coastline in Egypt. Established more than 20 years ago, the town is now home to a population of between 22,000 - 24,000 permanent residents and visitors from all over the world, to whom it offers a wide range of international-standard facilities such as a landing strip, a European-standard hospital, a nursing institute, an 18-hole championship golf course, three marinas, four schools, child daycare facilities, a library linked to Bibliotheca Alexandrina, 419 outlets including restaurants, bars, shops, various services, and a vibrant town centre.
