This course increases student's understanding of the intricacies of logistics, supply chain and trade industries through meticulous studies covering purchasing, materials management, warehousing, inventory control, transport and distribution, along with stakeholder management. This three-year course combines core studies in operation and supply chain management, with the flexibility to select eight subjects in business or other disciplines including international business, economics, accounting and information systems. Students may choose to deepen their knowledge by undertaking additional themes or a minor order in logistics. Throughout the support of professional associations and the logistics and transport industry, students have the chance to obtain feedback from practitioners in their ability to simplify, solve problems and communicate effectively.
On successful completion of the program graduates are eligible to apply for full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). An important industry association supporting the application would be your Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA).
