This program is presently provisionally licensed by the Dietitians Australia. A graduate of this program is eligible to become full participant of Dietitians Australia also to join with the Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Program. APDs are required to undertake prescribed levels of professional development each year and conform to the Dietitians Australia Code of Professional Conduct and Statement of Ethical Practice. Qualification for APD status, or current APD status is a necessity of several dietetic positions in Australia. • Applicants that have completed a 3-year Bachelor degree in a related field of study are eligible to apply ifthey completed their degree in the previous 10 decades or have undertaken subsequent Postgraduate studies or have relevant work experience. Additionally, have obtained a minimum 65% average in their last year of analysis and meet the following unit/subject requirements (as required by the Dietitians Association of Australia Accreditation Standards for Dietetics Education Programs): a. Chemistry/Biochemistry, 4 components - for example Chemistry (equivalent to 25 percent of per year analysis load) accompanied by Biochemistry (comparable to 25 percent of per year analysis load)
• B. Human Biology and Human Physiology, 4 components - containing Individual Biology (equivalent to 25 percent of per year analysis load) accompanied by Individual Physiology (comparable to 25 percent of per year analysis load)
• And c. Food and Nutrition Science, two components (equivalent to 25 percent of per year study load). Conditional offers: Pupils that are otherwise eligible but miss a small number of prerequisite units might be able to employ and be given a conditional offer subject to them successfully completing the essential requirements in Semester 1 (as non-award units), before commencing the degree in fourteen days.
