This program motivates students to teach in primary or secondary settings. Students undertake a base first year and undertake studies in primary or secondary education from Year 1/Trimester 3. Students undertake professional practice which includes monitoring and involvement in schools, practice teaching and community field studies.Foundation (Initial ) Year: All classes from the base of the Bachelor of Instruction are available across all three campuses (Gold Coast, Logan, Mt Gravatt).Primary Education (Gold Coast, Logan, Mt Gravatt): Curriculum areas include geography and history, how language grows and works, mathematics, science and technology, physical and health education, and thearts. Students studying Primary Education can also take a major in Health and Physical Education or Special Needs Instruction or select one of these readily accessible minors.
