Educational organisation

First to third semester: foundation courses - introduction to business, business communication, business methods and law, marketing, finance, and human resource management
Fourth semester: internship semester - business practice module (internship and practical business studies)
Fifth semester: semester with majors - advanced business studies with specialisation possibility in marketing and strategy, human resource management and organisation or finance and accounting
Sixth semester: international semester at one of more than 40 partner universities
Seventh semester: practical thesis semester (internship and seminar in intercultural strategies, Bachelor's thesis)

Students can also choose the "Fast Track" option:
During the fifth semester students can decide to combine the BSc degree with a Master's degree. In this case the educational organisation changes:
BSc degree from Reutlingen University and MBA/Master's from a partner university:
Sixth semester: practical thesis semester (internship and seminar in intercultural strategies, Bachelor's thesis in cooperation with the internship company)
Seventh to eighth semester: graduate business studies at one of the international graduate partner universities
Students can thereby obtain a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in only eight semesters.

Study abroad unit(s)

The sixth semester is spent at one of more than 40 partner universities worldwide. In the Fast Track Master's option, our ten partners for the additional MBA/Master's degree are all leading, AACSB-accredited (or equivalent) Business/MBA schools located in the USA, Mexico, Australia, China (Hong Kong), and the United Kingdom.

Two internships, preferably international, are part of the curriculum during the fourth, sixth or seventh semester. These internships prepare students for the Bachelor's thesis and the international study semesters at the partner universities.

Internships

The school's Internship Office receives more high-quality internship offers than can be filled and therefore offers a great variety of choice. The Internship Office actively seeks placements and provides on-the-job support. However, applying for an internship is the students' responsibility.

Forms of assessment

All forms of assessment are used depending on the course content, including team projects, presentations, term papers, written/oral exams and reports. In many courses, a combination of assessments is applied, e.g., in the form of continuous assessments.
