Description

Students majoring in Management Information Systems will learn how to analyze business situations and help design information systems solutions. Students completing this major will have a general business background along with a firm grounding in computing.

They will understand the functional areas of business, such as accounting, marketing, finance and information systems, and will also have experience working with databases and writing programs in Java.

A capstone senior project will allow the student to explore further his or her special area of interest. The major will prepare the student for various career options, such as, business analyst or systems analyst. It is also great option for students wanting a more technical preparation for their career in business.
