Medical Imaging

Deakin's Bachelor of Medical Imaging continues to be created to equip you with all the latest knowledge in medical radiation engineering and also train you in techniques like general radiography, computed tomography (CT), digital vascular imaging and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). You may see in our healthcare imaging labs that replicate the capacities of real-world imaging practices with operational image intensifiers, ultrasound and x-ray machines. You will also become adept in important solitude, communication, ethical and legal aspects of wellness. Clinical placements will start on your very first year, located on metro, regional and rural preferences ensuring that you grad career-ready. You may get invaluable clinical training in clinical centers and hospitals, and also within our health care imaging training program, providing you with diverse experience and techniques. Being a graduate you will be eligible for registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (diagnostic radiographer).

This training course is intended to fulfill the requirements of the Australian doctors Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Deakin's Bachelor of Medical Imaging has been awarded accreditation without any conditions by AHPRA, together with statutory leadership offered by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPBA).

• Entry is likely to be based on performance in Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English EAL (English as an additional language) or at least 25 in English apart from EAL
• Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in among Biology, Chemistry or Physics
• Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in one among Maths: Mathematical procedures or Immunology: Specialist Mathematics or at the least 30 in Maths: Additional Mathematics
• Or performed a bachelor degree in Mathematics, Science or Health Sciences
• Or equivalent.
