Put your theory to practice within our state-of-the-art food sensory labs and benefit 100 hrs of additional workplace training through industry placements. to incorporate diversity to your level and expand your job opportunities, you may choose elective units in complementary areas such as food innovation, health promotion, psychology, physical exercise and wellness or exercise science. you'll get the chance to gain extensive practical experience, either by analyzing the volunteering unit in year two or three, and also the Food and Nutrition Practicum elective unit in your final year. The major in food innovation will prepare you for a lifetime career within the food business, where your knowledge of nutrition and food article may facilitate the production and promotion of foods which help improve health. You may also understand nutrition perceptions and problems in different cultures by taking your studies abroad to obtain an global view.
While analyzing, you're eligible to apply for student membership with the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA). Candidates with a Bachelor of Nutrition Science will apply for ordinary membership of NSA or apply to become a registered nutritionist. Registration will ensure you're recognised as a qualified nutrition professional within the field. In addition, when you have completed this level with a major in food creation, you can also look for membership in to the Australian Institute of Food, Science and Technology (AIFST). Candidates are eligible to apply to become a Registered Associate Nutritionist together with all the Nutrition Society of Australia Hong Kong Nutrition Association UK Association for Nutrition.
Entry will be determined by performance in Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English EAL (English as an additional language) or at least 25 in English besides EAL or equivalent.
