Bournemouth University has joined forces with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to give marketing students the opportunity to gain CIM professional qualifications through the CIM’s Multi Award Pathway (MAP). CIM qualifications are highly sought after by employers, and MAP alongside the BSc (Hons) Marketing degree, ensures we are equipping students with the best opportunities for a successful marketing career.

Students who will start in September 2013 on the new BSc (Hons) Marketing degree have the opportunity to achieve CIM professional qualifications at Introductory Certificate, Certificate and Diploma and CAM Diploma levels, as a result of exemptions awarded by the CIM for this degree. Students have the opportunity to achieve these awards during the course of their degree and after completion. For example, students can achieve the Introductory Certificate in Marketing and be studying towards units at higher levels prior to the placement year.

Students on this course need to achieve a 2:2 or above degree classification and successfully pass the specified (non-exempt) units at the chosen level of study to be awarded the CIM professional qualification.

Students who graduate from the degree may retain the membership level and right to exemptions for 2 years from completion of their programme of study.
