How will I learn?
The course incorporates a wide range of teaching methods including lectures, seminars, workshops, group projects, presentations, student-lead meetings, tutorials, one-to-one tutor support and independent study.
Project based learning forms an important element of your learning on this course and the group activities will develop your ability to work in a team and enhance your employability.
You will benefit from the latest industry tools and technologies, and will have access to the wide array of resources available at Nottingham Business School.
Contact time
92% of students studying for a marketing degree agreed that they received sufficient advice and support with their studies (National Student Survey 2013).
On average you will receive 12 - 15 hours of teaching per week from a combination of lectures and seminars. You'll then be expected to increase your understanding of the subject area through independent study for each module.
Additional to this, you will also have further time-tabled contact time for your induction at the beginning of the year, and sessions on employability and opportunities that you can get involved with while at University.
Personal tutor sessions

Where will I study?
All students will attend lectures and seminars at NTU's City site, in the impressive Newton building, home to Nottingham Business School.
Virtual learning environment
You will use our virtual learning environment, NOW, which is a flexible web-based system that gives you 24-hour access to module learning materials and reading lists. It allows you to discuss work with tutors and submit coursework electronically from anywhere in the world.

Our tutors have industry experience in their specialist field, which means you will gain practical insight into these fields and how companies are run.
How will I be assessed?
As well as attending lectures, seminars and workshops, you will also carry out hands-on computing, personal research and essay / report writing, case studies, group work, individual projects, role play, case studies and presentations.
You will typically be assessed through a combination of coursework, projects and examinations. The course has been designed to help you develop a range of practical skills. Formative assessments will be provided by your tutors for many practical elements of the course.
All CIM modules will be double assessed by both NTU and CIM, which ensures that your degree award is always protected.
In response to student feedback the University has introduced a policy that ensures you are given feedback on assessment within three weeks of submission.

- 300 UCAS tariff points achieved from three A-levels or from two A-levels and two AS-levels (excluding General Studies) or equivalent qualifications.
