The MSc Marketing is designed to build on previous knowledge of marketing, gained either through undergraduate studies or previous work experience. The programme:
* draws on the research interests of the marketing faculty and addresses the three core elements of marketing today: Marketing to Consumers; Marketing to Businesses and Organisations; and Marketing and Society * deepens and advances understanding of core marketing theories and concepts * balances theory with practical application * systematically develops key business skills including group working, project management and presentation skills * leverages the expertise of nationally and internationally recognised faculty.

Semester 1 During the first semester you will study the following five modules:
* Marketing to Consumers * Marketing and Society (I) * Contemporary Marketing Challenges * Marketing to Businesses and Organisations * Strategic Marketing (I)
Semester 2 During the second semester the modules are:
* Strategic Brand Management * Advanced Advertising Theory * Financial Management for Marketing * Cross-Cultural Marketing * Research Methods for Marketing * Marketing and Society (II) * Strategic Marketing (II)
Independent Research Study During the summer you will carry out an independent research study. This is your opportunity to carry out an individual, scholarly research project in a particular area of marketing. The independent research project should be between 10,000 15,000 words.
You should hold a degree in Marketing or Business/ Management (2:1 or above or its international equivalent). Candidates without a first degree in this area need to demonstrate sufficient work experience in marketing. The minimum non-graduate qualifications acceptable for admission to the University of Bath are: * A relevant postgraduate diploma (passed at the appropriate level); or * A relevant professional qualification together with papers passed at an appropriate standard if required by the appropriate Head of Group; or * Extended and responsible experience in a relevant field of industry, teaching or a government establishment with authorship of papers of an acceptable academic standard.
