Nutrition Science

Discover more about your subject of interest within nutrition sciences by completing an honours year. Paired with a supervisor, who is a specialist in their own field, you could complete an initial piece of research under their guidance. On the way, you will gain an understanding of research techniques and design, in addition to experience in project preparation and execution. Deakin is currently home to leading Australian research centers CASS (Centre for Advanced Sensory Science) and also IPAN (Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition), whose studies have reached the forefront of food and nutrition research. You will also have the ability to examine in our food and nutrition facilities -- including industrystandard food sensory. By completing your honours level with Deakin's School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, you may graduate with the relevant industry knowledge to follow a career or complete additional research and study.

Entry will be based on performance in Bachelor Degree or major in a relevant area with a WAM of at least 65 in most level 3 and level 4 Deakin units (or in final year units for awards from other providers) or additional evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent.
