Theology or Religious Studies?

Religious studies is a scientific discipline which subject is religion as a phenomenon. Religious studies is ideologically neutral and do not aim to prove the truth or falsity of a particular religion.

Theology is the systematic exposition and clarification of the doctrine of a particular religion. Theologian considers dogmas of their religion as true, and dogmas of the other religions - as false. Thus, the approaches of a religious scholar and a theologian are opposite.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry  requirements will depend on the chosen institution and country.  Usually there aren’t any specific requirements for applicants for Theology or Religious Studies programs, but sometimes universities require history or religious essays. High results of GPA are often required. Applicants should speak English fluently, as all programs you can find in our website are taught in English.
