Information Science is an interdisciplinary branch of science which is dedicated to information analysis, collection, classification, manipulation, storage, retrieval, movement, dissemination and protection.
Researchers in Information Science study of using the information between people, organizations and any other existing information systems, with the purpose of creating, replacing or improving the information systems. Information science include such fields as archival sciences, cognitive sciences, commerce, communications, law, library science, museology, management, mathematics, philosophy, public policy and social sciences.
Information Science is an academic discipline which in usually taught in universities either as a Bachelor or Master degree. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree. PhD education in Information Science area is also available.
Entry requirements for Information Science graduates
Usually applicants for Information Science undergraduate study programs need to have excellent grades in Mathematics. Some IT and Computer Science skills will also be an advantage. All applicants need to demonstrate English language proficiency since all study programs which can be found on our website are taught in English.
