If you wish to receive a degree in medicine area and love to help people then you should probably choose a degree in Nursing. A profession of nurse includes сaring for patients in hospitals, prevention of diseases in various institutions, elements of social work. The list of nursing specializations include mental health nursing, child nursing, learning disabilities nursing, hospice nursing and many other.

Nursing degree structure

As nursing is a practical degree, usually a Bachelor degree is enough to start a career. Students can also complete an Associate degree or Undergraduate Diploma, which usually last from two to three years and also provide all core skills for Nursing career. A Master degree in Nursing is rarely provided.

A Nursing curriculum include practical courses and internship in hospital or other healthcare institution. Degree can be completed by passing exams and internship. Some universities also provide a part-time placement for students studying Nursing.

Entry requirements

Usually there aren’t any special requirements for a Nursing undergraduate degree. Applicants wishing to study Nursing in world recognising foreign universities need to have high grades (or high GPA scores). Sometimes a good health condition is needed as Nursing usually includes a lot of hard physical labor.

Applicants wishing to study any discipline (including Nursing) in foreign universities, need to speak English fluently, since most study programs in foreign universities are taught in English.

Those who are applying for foreign universities need to meet specific visa requirements of the chosen country.
