By choosing to study this programme, you'll further develop your understanding of the complexity of the internal and external connections which make up today's international supply chains and supply you with the tools, techniques and management abilities key to a successful career in the growing field.

You'll gain a sound understanding of supply processes including risk evaluation, operations management, business strategy and project management, and the practical abilities key to managing challenges in the field. You'll also develop your knowledge of the global challenges effecting supply chain process, including economic, legal, financial strategic and operational issues, and their impact on international trade.

This programme is designed for students with a relevant HND to enter at Year 3. As entry to this programme is only at Year 3, student support is uniquely tailored to your needs. On this programme we aim to block timetable classes wherever possible. This provides you with the flexibility required for additional independent study. There are opportunities for graduates of this programme in all industry sectors including banking, engineering, project management, logistics and transport, manufacturing, oil and gas, local government, telecommunications and education.

Course Content

Year 3: Modules include:

The Enterprise Value Challenge, International Business Strategy, Business Research Methods, E-Business and Supply Chain Management. You'll also make an additional selection from the following modules: Project Management, a Language or Information Resource Management.

Year 4:

The Honours dissertation gives you the opportunity to investigate a supply chain related topic in some depth combined with modules in Supply Chain Risk Management; Managing Sustainable Business Excellence; Sustainability, Corporate Responsibility and Ethics in International Business. You'll also make an additional selection from the following modules: Management of Innovation and Creativity, a Language or Leadership in a Changing Global Context.

Direct Entry Year 3HND Supply Chain Management with a B in the Graded Unit(s).

Other business-related HND programmes may be considered.
