The core curriculum of the University of Newcastles Master of Engineering Management explores the broad, theoretical concepts within engineering project management, organisational behaviour and design and engineering economical analysis.
You will learn foundation principles in the commercial, financial and marketing aspects of engineering projects as well as how to manage engineering resources whilst maintaining ethical professionalism. This is further supported by an in-depth study of the theoretical and conceptual issues which influence human behaviour.
To round out the core curriculum, you will learn how to apply your knowledge of mathematics, economics and engineering principles to solve engineering problems along with the ability to understand the major capabilities and limitations of cash flow analysis for evaluating proposed capital investments.
Further to the core courses, you will select courses from a prescribed list enabling you to refine your studies to suit your educational objectives.
